2012–2013 UHM–Peking University Exchange Program for UHM Faculty & Ph.D. Students focusing on China

The University of Hawai‘i at Manoa has an agreement with Peking University—one of China’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning—to send UHM faculty members or Ph.D. students there to teach, study, or conduct research. In return, UHM hosts Peking University faculty members here at UHM.

The Center for Chinese Studies is now accepting applications from UHM faculty or Ph.D. students interested in spending part of 2012–2013 at Peking University. Please note that while all UHM faculty are eligible to apply, preference will be given to faculty and Ph.D. students whose research focuses on China. Housing and a stipend to cover meals in Beijing are provided by Peking University. International airfare, however, is not covered by the program.

See attached application form (fillable on computer) and instructions. All application materials must be submitted as electronic files (PDF format preferred) to china@hawaii.edu by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
